PPP’s Nadeem Afzal Chan Accuses Federal Ministers of Interfering in GB Elections

Pakistan Peoples Party Central Information Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan on Sunday levelled serious allegations of federal interference in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections. Chan claimed that two federal ministers, Amir Muqam and Aleem Khan, were allegedly exerting pressure on the administration and state machinery to influence election results. He alleged that presiding officers were being pressured to withhold Form 45s, calling such actions a direct attack on the public mandate. Chan warned that attempts to alter results or tamper with the electoral process would severely damage the credibility of the entire electoral system. He demanded that the Election Commission take immediate notice, ensure timely issuance of Form 45s, protect presiding officers from undue pressure, and take non-discriminatory action against all elements interfering in the electoral process. The PPP leader stressed that no engineered outcome could succeed in overriding the genuine verdict of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
