In an unofficial preliminary result from constituency GBA-4 (Nagar-I), Pakistan Peoples Party’s Muhammad Ali Akhtar has won the seat after results from all 53 polling stations were tallied. Akhtar secured 7670 votes to claim victory, narrowly ahead of Islami Tehreek Pakistan’s Muhammad Ayub Waziri, who finished second with 6566 votes — a margin of 1,039 votes. The result, though yet to be officially confirmed, gives PPP its second seat in the ongoing Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly Elections 2026. Counting continues across the remaining constituencies as more results are expected shortly.
