PPP’s Kaira Raises Concerns Over GB Election Irregularities

Senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira on Sunday raised serious concerns over the conduct of Gilgit-Baltistan elections, alleging procedural irregularities at multiple polling stations. Speaking in Lahore, Kaira claimed that polling stations were relocated to distant locations, negatively impacting the party’s vote bank. He further alleged that election staff arrived late at several stations, while deliberate slowdowns in the electoral process cast doubts over the fairness of the polls. Kaira demanded that the Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission take immediate action on the party’s grievances, warning that PPP workers would not allow election staff to leave until all votes were cast.
