GB Elections 2026: MWM’s Muhammad Kazim Wins GBA-8 Skardu-II

In an unofficial preliminary result from constituency GBA-8 (Skardu-II), Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen candidate Muhammad Kazim has won the seat after results from all 70 polling stations were counted. Kazim secured 10,474 votes to claim victory in a fiercely contested race, edging out Pakistan Peoples Party’s Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, who finished second with 10,118 votes — a narrow margin of just 356 votes. The result marks MWM’s first seat in the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly Elections 2026. With six results now declared or emerging, PPP leads with three seats, followed by one seat each for MWM, PML-N, and an independent candidate. Counting continues across the remaining constituencies.
