CHILAS: The Election Commission has declared polling null and void at the women’s polling station in Loshi Thak, GBA-15 Diamer-I (Chilas), following a deterioration in the law and order situation during election day.
Approximately 200 votes had been cast at the station before the polling process was disrupted. In light of the situation, the Election Commission annulled the results from that station.
Re-polling at the Loshi Thak polling station will be held on June 15.
The Election Commission has directed that the re-poll be conducted in accordance with electoral regulations to ensure the votes of women voters in the area are duly recorded.
