Hunza: PTI-backed independent candidate Naiknaam Karim has emerged victorious in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly constituency of GBA-6 Hunza, according to official Form-47 results.
Naiknaam Karim secured the seat, defeating Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Col (R) Imtiazul Haq, who finished in second place.
Raja Nazeemul Amin, who contested the election at the head of a broad multi-party electoral alliance, came in third position.
Awami Workers Party candidate Asif Sakhi finished fourth, garnering approximately 2,891 votes. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) candidate Shah Salim Khan — a former member of the GB Assembly and son of former Governor Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan — placed fifth with 1,912 votes.
