Election Commission Announces Official Results of Gilgit-Baltistan General Elections 2026

Gilgit: The Election Commission has officially announced results for 21 of the 24 Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly constituencies and issued formal notifications for successful candidates.

According to the notification, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has won 9 general seats, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) 6, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) 4, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) 1, and 1 independent candidate has also been declared successful.

The Election Commission said results for GBA-9 Skardu-III, GBA-17 Diamer-III, and GBA-15 Diamer-I will be announced at a later stage.

Reserved Seats

The Election Commission has also allocated six reserved seats for women and three seats for technocrats.

Of the six women’s reserved seats, three have gone to the PPP, two to the PML-N, and one to the IPP. The elected members on women’s reserved seats are Kulsoom Jahangir, Sadia Danish, and Subiya Jabeen of the PPP; Sajida Begum and Jennifer Bahadur of the PML-N; and Dilshad Bano of the IPP.

For the three technocrat seats, one seat each has been allocated to the PPP, PML-N, and IPP. Muhammad Sharif will represent the PPP, Sahib Khan the PML-N, and Muhammad Ali the IPP.
