AWP delegation meets Qazi Nisar in hospital

Gilgit: A delegation of the Awami Workers Party (AWP) Gilgit-Baltistan, led by Comrade Baba, visited Saf Al-Rehman Hospital to inquire after the health of Qazi Nisar, a senior party leader who sustained injuries in a recent targeted attack.

During the visit, Qazi Nisar strongly condemned the assault on his person and raised serious concerns over the performance of state institutions. He remarked that the occurrence of such an incident, despite the heavy presence of various security forces in Gilgit-Baltistan, is deeply alarming and warrants immediate scrutiny.

He assured the public that, upon his recovery and discharge, he would personally extend his appreciation to all those who supported him during this difficult time.

Speaking on the broader political context, Qazi Nisar stated:

“My heart beats for Gilgit-Baltistan. The Government of Pakistan must formally acknowledge the region’s disputed status and extend all constitutional and legal rights that are due to a territory of such standing. Furthermore, Gilgit-Baltistan should be declared a tax-free zone to provide meaningful economic relief to its people.”

The AWP delegation also visited other individuals injured in the attack and offered prayers for their swift and complete recovery.
